The key word for this customization project was ‘clean’. Because the client did not intend to use his Triumph Thruxton for racing, Down & Out did not have to work that much on the powertrain, instead focusing their efforts in delivering that ‘custom but not over the top’ look which the owner had requested.

Custom Triumph Thruxton by Down & Out

Probably the most visible change of all (aside from the eye-catching cold and black paintjob by Pro Kustom) is the wide fork kit, which allowed the introduction of larger 16 x 3 wheels wrapped in bulky tires. Provided by Fasted Racing, the kit included 9.6-inch wide yokes. The 7-inch headlight was snugly fitted between new custom brackets.

The bike also received a custom seat which can be easily unbolted and replaced with the original one. Other changes include a new alloy rear fender, JVB-moto side covers, a Motogadget Tiny speedometer, an aluminum intake bellmouth, Ohlins shocks, a new stainless steel exhaust, an upgraded airbox, and an ECU remap.
